Friday Virtue #7: Miracle

I often look for miraculous changes in my life through various techniques such as meditation, affirmations, self-help gurus, ancient wisdom etc.

In fact, I’m about to do a 10-day silent meditation retreat, known as Vipassana, soon. This will be the most significant thing I’ve done by far.

Sometimes I don’t know what I’m trying to achieve.

“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

Perhaps I just need to develop a true appreciation for life – to dwell in it.
