I often look for miraculous changes in my life through various techniques such as meditation, affirmations, self-help gurus, ancient wisdom etc.
In fact, I’m about to do a 10-day silent meditation retreat, known as Vipassana, soon. This will be the most significant thing I’ve done by far.
Sometimes I don’t know what I’m trying to achieve.
“The miracle is not to walk on water. The miracle is to walk on the green earth, dwelling deeply in the present moment and feeling truly alive.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
Perhaps I just need to develop a true appreciation for life – to dwell in it.
Happy Friday all, have a nice weekend.
The need for quiet time and deep thought seems to be a common thread though my entire social media today.

That sounds so great. I can’t wait to read what you have to say about the experience afterwards.

Thanks. I’m sure I’ll have much to say after 10 days of silence!

Opening our hearts totally to the present moment is something that is really speaking to me lately. I love that Thich Nhat Hanh quote.

Trying to see things for what they are and not what we would like them to be. Much easier said than done of course!
